Persimmon Smoothie

Are you craving something sweet? Then try this smoothie. It’s easy to make, delicious, and sweet enough to hit the sugar craving without adding refined sugar. Persimmons are an excellent source of Vitamins A, C and B-complex, manganese, and fiber. They are in season right now, so enjoy them while you can!


1 ripe persimmon/sharon fruit

1-2 large medjool date ( I used one large medjool date)

1 1/2 cup coconut milk

dash of ground cinnamon

dash of ground ginger

Ice cubes (optional)


Remove the stem/leaves of the persimmon.  Blend the persimmon and the remaining ingredients in an high speed blender until smooth. Add Ice cubes and pulse for few more seconds. If you find it too thick then add a bit more coconut milk or water. Enjoy!
